Job Description: Work one on one with a student to help him be as independent as possible in the regular classroom. The purpose of the position is to provide assistance (academic, behavior, social) to a special education student within the general education setting.
Qualifications: Good rapport with students and great organizational skills. This position requires the paraprofessional to always be thinking about how a student can be independent in a task. Good oral communication skills and rapport with staff and students; flexibility, willingness to work with a team; ability to follow direction independently; as well as creatively assist student to do his best.
Requirements: Must be able to obtain a DPI paraprofessional license. Position to begin on or before February 25, 2013 and to continue through the remainder of the 2012-2013 school year.
