Welcome to March
What exciting things are we doing this month?
As you most of you know, I am expecting and due the first day of April. This will be my last month before I take some time off to have my baby and be with my new son. We have found someone to replace me who, I feel, is very competent and will help the students to make a smooth transition from me to a new teacher. Her name is Sharon Kildow. I am more at ease knowing that my students will be well taken care of. She holds a math teaching degree and has worked in the technology field previously. I will be planning with her at the beginning of March so she will know exactly where to pick up. I am sure you will make her feel as welcomed as I did when I first got here. If you have any questions this month you can contact me in the usual ways, after that Mrs Kildow will be more than willing to talk with you.
Reminders:
No School Monday, March 1st
Progress reports come out Thursday, March 4th.
7th graders must read 140-210 minutes a week and record the minutes in their assignment books. Parents/Guardians must initial each entry. Because former students have tried to misrepresent how much they've read in various ways there will be no alternate methods of reporting minutes accepted.
7th grade should be finished with at least 2 AR books by March 7th.
The missing assignment policy has changed. Students will not be kept in at lunchtime. They will be given an after school detention for every three missing assignments that they have.
Thanks as always for your input and support.
We are doing exciting things here at Neosho and I am glad to be a part of them.
